School Sport
At St Peters Public School, we offer a variety of sports opportunities for students to get involved in. Along with the sports and fundamental movement skills taught by our teachers, we have special programs that come into the school to teach athletics and gymnastics, helping students develop new skills and stay active.
Outside of school hours, we also offer external programs including soccer and cricket, which provide extra chances for students to enjoy these sports and improve their abilities. Families are responsible for signing their children up for these programs. These programs are a great way for students to stay engaged and develop their skills beyond the school day. Keep an eye out in the school newsletter for any new sporting programs.
During winter, students can take part in PSSA competitions, with teams for Oz Tag and soccer. Students are selected for these teams through tryouts, making it a great opportunity to challenge themselves and represent the school. Tryouts are held at the end of term one.
