Week 6 is Book week at St Peters and the theme this year is Australia - Story Country. With Nadia Wheatley - our resident writer and author, all students at the school during this term have been working on ‘Story Circles,' which effectively are all Australian Stories. In recognition of the importance of this great piece literacy, students will be providing an exhibition of their work at pickup. We welcome parents to come into your child's classroom at pickup on Tuesday 23 August to see your child's work. Additionally, we will be holding a parade of selected circle stories at the school assembly on 24 August.
Additionally during Book Week we will be holding a book fare in the library which will allow you to come and purchase a book for yourself or for the school library. Any books that are purchased for the library will have a panel inserted in the cover stating who donated the book and when. The child who donated the book will also be provided with first borrowing rights for the book once it is covered and accessioned.
