This Tuesday it is Harmony day in Australia. This is a day where Australia celebrates its our countries cultural diversity. The SRC will be hosting a Mufti Day on this day and requests that you all wear as much orange clothing or accessories as you can on this day and suggest that you wear something that celebrates your culture. A gold coin donation is requested with all the proceeds going to Stewart House who provide great inclusive services to children with disadvantaged backgrounds.
African Drumming
On Thursday all our students will be participating in a whole school incursion with the group Salaka African Beat in their interactive drumming show "Salaka: Sharing the Spirit of Africa". This will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to enjoy the traditions of another culture, together as one school community. A note went home last Friday calling for payments for this great event.
St Peters DoE Office
This week work will commence on refitting the former St Peters District Office. This initially involves clearing the office of furniture in preparation for painting and refitting. At the beginning of term 2, there will be a number of Director Public School NSW level staff with their associated admin staff moving from Bondi to St Peters. This begins a new chapter in the sites history. During the work at site, workers will be erecting fences to ensure safety at the site.
