The students will be looking to double up their points this week for working well with expectations. Teachers will be looking at movement around the school as a focus and assuming this is all done well we’ll double the percentage for this week to 20% instead of the normal 10%. Students are working towards a disco for a treat at the end of this term.
Kindergarten Orientation 2
We had a great Orientation session last Thursday with lots of eager children attending the first session. Our teachers were greatly enthralled at how well the session went and Dr Lavitt provided lots of information to the new parents about transition and starting school. We have our second and final session this coming Thursday where parents will be provided with some information about how to support their child’s learning in Literacy and Numeracy in the lead up to and during the first years of school.
Time for The Courtyard Gate
The timer for the courtyard gate will be fitted this Tuesday and we are hoping that this will finally allow access to the school via this gate from Wednesday. The gates opening times will be 8:20am to 9:30am and 2:15pm to 3:30pm. The gate can be opened by simply pulling down on the handle at these times.
Our wonderful P&C is just getting going with its Fundraising activities for this term. The first of these will be the Envirobank recycled bottles and cans collection that concludes a week tomorrow. Then on Friday 7 December the P&C will be holding its Summer Sizzler fundraiser from 6:30pm to 9pm. It should be lots of fun. Finally you can make the purchase of your Christmas Tree easy by ordering a Christmas Tree and having some of the money go towards the P&C. Details of all of these are included in this edition of the newsletter.
Don’t forget that our assembly for the Koalas is at 2:30pm this coming Wednesday. This was moved due to RAW Art. Our merit certificate assembly will also be this Monday at 2:50pm due to hot weather last Friday resulting in a cancellation.
