Happy Holidays

This week is the last week of Term 2 and thus Semester 1. Some of you have taken the opportunity to go overseas or north to warmer locations and we hope that you have a marvellous time away. The school office will be closed from 3:30pm this holiday and will not reopen until Monday 23 July on the school development day. All students return on the day after, which is Tuesday 24 July. All our learning programs recommence then and your child will be required to attend.

Staff Changes and Holidays

This Thursday will be our fantastic General Assistant, Mr Campbell’s (Glenn’s) last day at St Peters. He already has another position at another school which he shares with us and wishes to reduce his total work hours to pursue other opportunities. It is very sad to see him go but we are extremely pleased to see Mr Bird joining our team. He has been shadowing Glenn for the past few weeks and will be working a 3 day fortnight at the school to help maintain our grounds.

Additionally, Mrs Ross will be going on leave for 4 weeks from the start of Term 3. She will be replaced by Mrs Finnan who is the ex School Admin Office of Canterbury Public School. She has agreed to help us out while Mrs Ross is away and we thank her.  Finally, Ms McSpadden will be away on Long Service Leave for the first 2 weeks of Term 2 and will return on 3 August. The Echidnas will be taught during this time by Ms Plummer.

Optus Digital Smarts

Students from years 4 and 5 will this Wednesday be travelling by bus to the Optus headquarters in Ryde where they will enjoy a day learning about digital citizenship. Being a child venturing into the world of online safety is a big issue and this workshop will help these children start to learn these skills.

Mark the Date - School Open Day

The school’s annual Open Day will be held on Wednesday 8 August. All carers, parents, and other family/friends are welcome to attend our assembly and later classroom visits. All prospective Kindergarten parents for 2019 are invited and will enjoy a school tour. The event culminates in a BBQ in our courtyard for lunch.
