We Need Your Opinions - Tell Them from Me

So we can make our school a better place, we need your help in providing us some feedback on your views as a parent at St Peters. This survey called Tell Them From Me is also used by the Department of Education to understand how its community feels about its schools. This years survey is now active and can be answered at the link: 2019 Parent Partners in Learning Survey Or you can type in your browser: http://bit.ly/2MeCBdH  The survey closes on Friday!

Come and See the Draft Oval Playground Design

This Wednesday evening Urban Landscape Projects will be coming to the P&C meeting to show the first draft of the design for work on the oval. We have already had a preview and it is amazing. For those who attended the focus group session it includes aspects of this as well as the feedback from the students late last year. The meeting is at 7pm in the school library. The Silver Street gate will be open as will parking at the Church Street side of the school.

Proposed Changes to the School Uniform

Following a discussion with several parents an opportunity has now arisen for some simple changes to the school uniform that will provide families with what could be a better solution for them going forward. As you know, our white shirts are lovely but are very prone to becoming dirty and showing that dirt very quickly as well as being difficult to clean. Henceforth, we propose the following changes:

1) The main shirt colour of the school will become the same navy blue colour as the current Loyalty shirts.

2) The house Loyalty shirt colour will change to green. Their existing blue shirts will be usable as normal shirts.

3) The white shirt will be retained for special occasions including school photographs, out of school activities as well as days such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, Open Day and Presentation Day.

4) A new year 6 shirt design will be created that is the navy blue with additional white details.

If it happens, the change would happen from the beginning of the 2020 school year. Any new parents for next year that have bought excessive numbers of white shirts would be able to swap them for blue shirts of the same size.

We are keen to see what you think of these proposals at the following link: Proposed Changes to the School Uniform.

The survey will close this Thursday!

Save the Date - Presentation Day

Our Presentation Day assembly is held at the end of the year on Tuesday 17 December - in week 10. This is a special day for the school where we get to put all the students on the stage to celebrate their successes through the year. You are all invited of course and our assembly starts at 9:15am and finishes around 11:10am. We look forward to seeing you all there.
