Shade Structure

The poles are in place for the shade structure and the canopy will be fitted on Monday. In anticipation that this won’t be finished before assembly time. Please enter the hall through the St Peters Street entrance if you plan on attending the Echidnas assembly on Monday.

Art Show Fundraiser 12 Dec - Please be there!

The Art Show is fast approaching and there have been many questions about what to expect on the night. The goal of the Show is to raise funds for a new interactive whiteboard in the school library, so please make sure you come along and show your support through spending as much as you can!

Kids and adults alike will have a heap of fun on the night. Kids can expect face painting, jumping castle and craft making. Adults can look forward to seeing art making from parents and grandparents from the St Peters PS community and finding out more about how these extremely talented individuals create their wares.

Each class has been creating art to be displayed. Every student has an individual artwork that will be available to purchase on the night, but if you can’t make it to the Art Show a note will go home as a chance to buy any leftover artwork. The classes have also created larger, collaborative artworks that will be sold via silent auction. The auction will include other art that has been generously donated by the St Peters community. If you have anything you’d like to donate to the silent auction please let Miss Davies know via this link:

I want to Donate Something for the Silent Auction

Perhaps it might be an unwanted gift, something you have made that is special or you just want to donate or it could be a service a business you own or work for is willing to offer.

There will be lots food and drinks for kids and adults, so please bring a hungry tummy! A BBQ is being held in the courtyard serving a sausage sizzle and chicken skewers and there will be popcorn, cold chips, lollies, ice-blocks, water and juice (and cans of drink for the grownups). Wine and cheese will be available for adults to purchase and consume only in the School Hall as you peruse the local artmaking.

The Art Show Committee is looking forward to seeing you there!

Executive Directors Unit

Last Friday the Executive Directors unit led by Dr Sylvia Corish left the St Peters Public School site. Dr Corish is responsible for over 300 schools in the Metropolitan South area of Sydney. Her office has been here since term 3 2017 and has greatly added to our wonderful site. Indeed, Dr Corish is responsible for the wonderful refresh of the Aora Meeting room which was in very poor shape at the end of 2017. This revamp has turned this room into a wonderful asset for the school. Dr Corish is also responsible for the electronic gate which has significantly enhanced the safety of our car park and security at the site. They leave for the Sydney School of Languages in Petersham and their permanent office. The school deeply thanks her for her support of our school and wish her unit well at their new location.
