Looking to Enrol?

Enrolment Poster

Do you have a child who is turning 6 next year or who turn 5 before the end of July next year? If you do your child is eligible to apply to enrol at St Peters Public School. Our enrolments for 2021 entry are open now for all students in our local catchment (see figure below). Enrolling is easy. You simply fill in an enrolment form and send it by email or in person by bringing it to the school office. We require some documentation to support the application, including proof of address (a recent bill, rental agreement or title deeds). We also require your child's proof of birth date and identity (birth certificate and passport) as well as immunisation records.

If you do not live in our catchment zone,  you can still submit an enrolment form and will also need to submit an out of area form. After a discussion with the principal of the school you are local to, and an assessment of the reason for enrolment, you may be accepted. However, from this year St Peters Public School will not accept out of area enrolments from any families who reside in the local areas of the schools it directly shares borders with (Camdenville, Newtown, Tempe, Marrickville, Gardeners Road or Mascot Public Schools). Exceptions may be made where there is a specific need and following a discussion between both schools.

We have a number of dates coming up that will give you more information about St Peters Public School. The first is an information evening that will be held at 7:30pm via Zoom (due to social distancing) on Tuesday 26 May. The second is to attend our Open Day on 4 August which starts with an assembly in our hall at 9:30am followed by a P&C led tour of the school for the students and a BBQ lunch in our courtyard. This is a great opportunity to meet the community and see the school first hand .You are welcome to request a meeting with our school principal and have a tour of the school if you are not able to attend Open Day or should you require further information. This is a great opportunity to discuss options, raise concerns  and ask questions.

In late October and early November there will be three orientation days for enrolled students and their families to attend. The students go into a Kindergarten classroom and parents and carers receive some additional information from the principal about the school.

Our flyer is available to read here and included all of this information in a convenient place.

If your child attends a preschool or day care centre that you feel would like a visit from St Peters PS, a visit can be arranged. Please ask the centre director to contact St Peters PS.

We wish you and your child well as they commence their school journey.
