Kindergarten Orientation Begins

Familiy at St Peters

Kindergarten Orientation

This week sees the start of our kindergarten orientation sessions. We understand that 27 students will be joining us for the orientation sessions. They will arrive at 9:30am on Thursday and be split into two groups going into Dr Cooper and Ms McSpadden’s rooms. Parents will be taken to the school hall where they will receive an information session from Mr Lavitt. The students will be picked up by 10:45am and return next week. Year 6 students will help out this week in the two orientation rooms. While this happens, the Koalas and the Echidnas will be in the library with the Ms Plummer and Mrs Bishop. The year 3, 4’s and 5’s will move to the Dingoes room with Ms Cusack and the wombats will be with Mr Park. It is important to note that these are in no way reflective of classes for 2019. The change in schedule will not affect Got Game with the Goannas enjoying Got Game at the same time.

Koalas Assemblies And RAW Art

Our RAW art program got off to a big start this last Thursday and students really enjoyed themselves with some great artwork on classroom walls as well as hanging up from ceilings. Unfortunately due to matters beyond our control, we have had to move our RAW Art dates for weeks 3 and 4 to Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 November. This has meant that we have also been forced to move the date of the Koalas Assembly to Wednesday 7 November at 2:30pm. Additionally, there will be no Scripture/Ethics on Tuesday 6 November. Apologies for these late changes.

Save the Date - Presentation Day

Our school presentation day represents an important day in the school calendar where students receive recognition for their learning in 2018 and the school gets to celebrate a great year of learning and teaching. This year our presentation day will be on Tuesday 18 December between 9:30 and 11:15am. The session will include performances from some classes, a combined 3-6 choir and our band ensemble. Parents and carers are all cordially invited. This year due to the capacity restrictions in the hall we will be operating a RSVP program to ensure that all families get to attend. More details will be provided in the next two weeks.

Timeless Gate

I am sure that many of your will have seen our new school gate into the courtyard. While the gate looks great, we at this stage don’t have a functioning timer which was part of the original design. While this issue is being worked out, please continue to use the old route.
