Summer Sizzler - This Friday
This Friday the P&C will be hosting the summer sizzler event. Designed to be a family event, everyone is welcome. There will be food for sale, lots of games and events to take part in as well as the chance to dunk some year six and staff members. The P&C is selling wristbands for which a note has gone home to purchase access to all rides except the fun dunk. We hope to see you and your family there.
End of Year Fun Events
Every year the school hold a fun day for all students. On this day we bring in the bouncy castle in again and run a set of tabloid activities for fun. All year K-5 will take part in this and a note will go home this Monday as there is a small cost. While the K-5 students have their fun day, year 6 students will be going into the city and Darling Harbour where they will visit Wild Life, Sea Life and Madame Tussauds. Again a note will go home tomorrow. Finally year 5 and 6 students will be invited to our annual year six farewell at Yiamas restaurant in St Peters.
Library Books
Last week was the final week of borrowing from the school library. We are now looking at all library books to be returned. This can happen by bringing in books to the classroom in library bags after which they will be returned by classroom teachers to the library. This should take place before Thursday this week. On this day letters for any outstanding library books will be generated and sent home.
Presentation Day
As we lead up to the end of year, our annual presentation day will be held from 9:15am on Tuesday 18 December in our school hall. Apart from the presentation of awards, we will be having some performances to break up the presenting of awards. Families are cordially invited to attend but we ask you to let us know if you are bringing a large contingent to the awards. After the event, volunteers who have helped at the school are invited to a volunteers morning tea.
