Crazy Hair Day is Coming

Student with crazy hair

Crazy Hair is Coming

Each year at St Peters our school community celebrates Crazy Hair Day to raise funds and support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Each year our students excel themselves in their creativity with hair styles on this day. We’re looking forward to seeing what amazing styles are worn in 2018.

Crazy Hair Day will be on Tuesday 26 June.

The SRC encourage everyone to come to school with a creative, crazy and fun hairstyle. There will be certificates awarded in each class for the craziest hair and classes will be involved in activities, organised by the SRC, that support awareness of the cause.

Athletics Carnival

As reported at the beginning of week 6, the school will be holding its Athletics Carnival at the school on Thursday 28 June. Please watch out for a note that will go home this week. The note will include some details about the day, as well as the option for your child to purchase a sausage and a bottle of water for their lunch. Should the weather be poor on this date, we have a backup date on the following Thursday in week 10 - July 5.

First Aid

We are often asked what our procedures are for accidents at school as well as what happens when a child is injured. All of our teachers are trained in emergency care which covers providing care to children who are injured in a variety of ways from falling over, being bitten by animals or spiders and from issues with choking. Additionally, the school’s First Aid Officer Mrs Bishop looks after our supplies ensuring that we are well prepared for injuries. All our teachers take first aid kits to the oval or courtyard playground while care in the morning playground is provided in the staffroom. Where injuries are to the head or neck or serious falls, parents will be contacted directly and immediately. We do not do this for minor injuries. We take our duty of care very seriously and work hard to ensure your children are cared for in the very best way.
