Sometimes in a community we become aware of an individual citizen who displays qualities that not only allow them to achieve their personal goals but also facilitate the success of others around them. In our school community we are very fortunate to have such a student, Rosie.
Throughout her seven years at St Peters Public School, Rosie has demonstrated many of the qualities to which we all aspire: Fairness, Caring, Loyalty, Leadership, Responsibility and Academic Achievement.
Those who meet Rosie for the first time are usually unaware of her profound loss of hearing as she continues to face challenges with great courage each day at school. She is an inspiration to everyone.
Congratulations Rosie on your 2011 Sydney Region Award for Outstanding Student Achievement. We are all very proud of you.
