NAPLAN 2016

Well it's nearly that time of year again when students in year 3 and 5 take part in the National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy - otherwise known as NAPLAN. The tests take place in week 3 in the 4/5/6 classroom in the morning session. There are 4 tests which cover a range of areas of literacy and numeracy. The schedule is:

Tuesday 10th May

9.00am-10.00am Language Conventions

10.10am - 11.10pm Writing

Wednesday 11th May

9.00am-10.00am Reading

Thursday 12th May

9.00am-10.00am Numeracy

 

Sometimes parents get more worried than children about these tests. You needn't be. The tests do not contribute to school reports and assess their learning in whole to date.
