Week 8 News

  Library Books!

Thank you so much to everyone who has brought in library books this week. If you have books outstanding you will have received a note with the names of the book. Please find these books and hand them to the school office - not your child's classroom teacher. If we do not receive the books, after the library stock take, you will be provided with a letter showing the replacement cost of the books. We ask that you pay this so that our library can continue to offer the amazing range of books for all students.

Spell-a-thon Fundraiser REMINDER

Our Spell a thon fundraiser is now in the process of collecting sponsorship money. Even if we did not receive a sponsorhip form the results of your child's spell a thon will have come home or will come home. All sponsorship money is due by Thursday 7 December. Please support this fundraiser.

Hall Backing Curtain

To improve our hall, a new backing curtain will be installed on Monday. A local business was chosen to make and install the curtain which will be St Peters blue and consist of three sections. A top section will overlap the curtain rail for the lower two sections that themselves gather at two points to allow access to the canteen and Helping Hands table.  We hope that this will improve the appearance of our hall. Come to the Goanna's assembly this Monday at 2:30pm to see the curtain.

Toys at School

The staff at St Peters are becoming increasingly concerned at the number of toys that are being brought to school. The toys are causing issues between children and mostly around ownership and toys being used by others inappropriately. Many larger schools do not allow toys at school and St Peters is looking at revising this for next year.  The staff have decided to make this a topic for the SRC. They will be discussing this at a meeting this week. However, until our rules are revised, only one toy may be brought per child. No electric games or toys resembling weapons may be brought and toys must not contain sharp edges.

RAW Art Display

Tomorrow at the Goannas Assembly we will be displaying the artwork from the RAW Art sessions. Please come along to the Assembly. We will also be displaying the perspectives from Sydney Park work completed by years 1 to 6 during Nadia Wheatley and Ken Searle's visits.
